Outgoing Office CEO Bar Good Signs Makes Sense Due to Fear of Second Wave Outbreak

On the way to another closure? The Association of Public Health Doctors of the Medical Histadrut issued a statement on Friday stating that the increase in the number of infections is "expected". We are required along breath, calm and responsible behavior and considerate both by the heads of the Ministry of Health and the public. Early identification of morbidity centers by the public health system in the field - at both the individual level (case and contact detection) and the area level (monitoring) is an essential tool for making differential decisions, depending on the specific risk. On the side of the necessary vigilance and caution, decisions, such as school closures, must be conclusive, on an epidemiological basis and not on the basis of whims and fears. "

Director General of the Ministry of Health Moshe Bar is a good sign at a press conference

The chairman of the Center for Local Government Life Bibs, too, urged the state's captains and the Ministry of Health not to impose a closure and not take steps such as the cancellation of studies following the increase in corona infection, but to increase the rate of testing to control the outbreak and prevent a second wave.

"It is impossible to drive the public crazy," said Bibs, calling on the Health Ministry: "Approve tests instead of putting them all back. Many weeks have passed before the state is back in function, and there is still much work to be done. It cannot be that every step forward will take two steps back. "There is a point all over the place, but you can't panic in a routine way. We will oppose any possibility of sweeping schooling for whole classes in the country."

The remarks by the chair of the Center for Government were said ahead of a press conference scheduled for tonight at the Ministry of Health, attended by outgoing office CEO Moshe Bar Seaman Tov, in light of the rise in infection rates, especially in schools across the state. The press conference will be broadcast live on Israel Today.

At the same time, Soroka Medical Center announced that 31 hospital staff members had been isolated for exposure to a physician in the surgical division that was positive to Corona, apparently from a hospital source. Soroka Hospital said that "the hospital and the Ministry of Health carry out epidemiological tests of people who came in contact with him as usual."

This comes, as mentioned, after a relatively unusual increase in the corona virus infection in the last 48 hours. The Ministry of Health announced this morning that 78 new cases were registered in the last day. In the previous day, the number was 46, and just two days ago, only 15 stickers were counted. Last week, an average of 18 patients were counted per day, with an increase of 32 patients a day before the holiday.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, to date, 16,887 people have contracted the virus in Israel, which means an increase of 15 patients since yesterday evening. However, the number of active patients decreased from 1,909 to 1,876, and the number of hospitalized patients still stands at 36. The number of victims remains 284.

The Ministry of Health monitors the various numbers and centers of morbidity and assesses the situation to consider the steps needed to deal with the increase in morbidity. This morning, too, the ministry warned against a second wave and urged the public to be strict about the guidelines, including wearing a mask and maintaining social remoteness.

Earlier, 41 staff members from Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera were isolated due to exposure of a nurse who was found to be positive to Corona, probably from an outside source of the hospital. The nurse, who did not work this past week, began to develop symptoms, tested and found positive. In a test conducted among the isolated workers, another positive nurse was found for Corona. The hospital and the Ministry of Health began an epidemiological investigation in front of anyone who came in contact with her. In addition, they emphasized that the nurse was constantly protected during contact with patients and patients.

Clalit's health fund announced today that it will carry out more than 200 corona tests in Caspipe over the next 24 hours, in light of the identification of a number of patients with the virus at an educational institution in the locality. The current event is further linked to cases of infection in other educational institutions across the country.

Last night, Bat Yam Mayor Zvika Brut approved of the presence of three Corona cases in his city's education system in two different schools. In Or Yehuda, the municipality announced the mother and her two infected children, also in two different educational institutions, and in another focus, the Hebrew Gymnasium High School in Jerusalem, the number of those diagnosed with the virus rose to 18 people. 11 of them are students and seven are educational staff. Last night, more than 600 tests were conducted at MDA's "Check and Travel" station near Teddy Stadium in the city.
