Coronavirus in Argentina: eight deaths and another 795 cases reported in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, the Nation's Ministry of Health reported eight deaths and 795 new cases of coronavirus in the country.

Earlier, in its morning report, the health portfolio had confirmed four deaths : two men aged 68 and 69 and two women aged 87 and 53, all residing in the province of Chaco.

Of the total cases, 49.1% are women and 50.9% are men, with an average age of 37 years.

A total of 5,100 people have already recovered and another 9,404 have the ongoing infection, of which 244 are hospitalized in intensive care.

On Friday, 93% were registered in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). "These data clearly show the special situation of community viral transmission in this region," explained the secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti.

On the other hand, the official said that since March this year, the health system added 2,884 intensive care beds, 5,466 general beds and 14,907 non-hospital intermediate isolation beds, which totals more than 23 thousand new beds throughout the country. .
