Yasu: Greece is expected to open its doors to tourists as early as June 15, including tourists from Israel. The Mediterranean state released Friday the list of 29 countries from which Greece will receive tourists without the need to enter the country.
The interesting list is, as mentioned, Israel, but alongside Israel there are countries that probably entered the list for political and economic reasons, countries where the level of morbidity is quite alarming today.
Countries included are: Israel, Germany, China, South Korea, Slovenia, Japan, Austria, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Cyprus, Switzerland, Malta, Bulgaria, Croatia, New Zealand, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Estonia, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Finland.
The announcement of the list of countries means that if you go on vacation in Greece, you are likely to be staying with tourists from those countries. At present, it is unclear whether in Greece the tourists arriving in the country will be examined and the exact plans to maintain their health and prevent another outbreak of the virus.
Cyprus announced during the week that it would fund treatments for tourists who contract the virus during a holiday in the country. During the Health Ministry hearings this week, another country's name is expected to enter the list of countries with which there may be tourist agreements and it is South Korea.
At the same time, at a press conference held by the Ministry of Health, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health Professor Itamar Grotto addressed the possibility that the State of Israel will open its doors to foreign tourists and at the same time that Israeli tourists can return abroad and not enter the isolation: "In June, Israelis can not fly and return without "We need isolation. We are looking at options for July and are in contact with the health ministries in the various countries. All decisions on this matter will be made according to the morbidity situation and everything is on the table."
