Deprived of greenery for almost three months, many found themselves with family or friends to picnic on the lawns. "We are really happy, these are places where we do our jogging, where we meet, and which are part of our daily Parisian life," explains Laura, having a picnic on the lawn of the Luxembourg garden.

For many, this freedom still has a bitter taste: “I don't understand why they haven't reopened it before. We were running around Paris zigzagging between people, the children playing on concrete ... It was not very pleasant, ”said a resident of the neighborhood.
Visiting the Antwerp Square of Paris, the mayor of the capital Anne Hidalgo was delighted with the opening of the parks which she had been asking the government for several weeks. “500 parks, gardens and squares reopen in Paris, or 8% of the city, so you can imagine what it represents in terms of space! She exclaimed.
