With TikTok, ByteDance has conquered Asian, American and European adolescents at high speed, a first for a Chinese application. If this social app does not stop growing, it is not the only growth axis of ByteDance internationally: the company is spinning its weapons in music and video games. In March, ByteDance launched a music listening platform, Resso, in India and Indonesia.

The choice of these countries is not innocent. TikTok already has nearly 100 million active users in India, making it its first market outside of China. ByteDance also has 160 million social media users in Indonesia, a country with a very young population.
The social card
Resso is not distinguished from Spotify or Apple Music by its catalog: all the major majors are present, with the exception of Universal Music. But the application plays the social card to the full. Users can comment on the songs and start a discussion.
