(ANSA) - TARANTO, MAY 31 - The police arrested an acquaintance of the man who was stalked in Taranto yesterday afternoon after a dispute, near a funeral agency in via Mazzini. Investigations revealed that three people from two competing families in the funeral sector were involved in the violent discussion. Giacomo Attolino, 46, ended up in prison for aggravated injuries, detention and illegal firearms. The victim, taken to the Santissima Annunziata hospital, reported injured wounds healed in 30 days.
The agents, who had intervened to report an asparatoria, found a 7.65 caliber cartridge case on the asphalt.
Attolino is accused of having fired some gunshots at his rival's address, one of whom reached him on the right leg. During the dispute, the victim was also hit with a baseball bat. Further investigations are underway to investigate the reasons for the attack.
