(ANSA) - VENICE, JUNE 01 - Five out of the finalists of the 58th edition of the Campiello Prize were chosen by the jury of the letters, chaired by Paolo Mieli. The submersion of the popular jury goes to "Sommersion" by SandroFrizziero (Fazi); "With Japanese steps" by Patrizia Cavalli (Einaudi); "Tralummescuro" by Francesco Guccini (Giunti); "Vitamorte e miracoli di Bonfiglio Liborio" by Remo Rapino (Minimumfax) and "L'incanto del pesce luna" by Ade Zeno (BollatiBoringhieri). The books were announced without specifying the number of votes received by the jurors. The Campiello Opera Prima was awarded to Veronica Galletta for "The islands of Norman" (Italo Svevo). In the era of Covid-19, the outcome of the debate and vote was announced on Rai5 by Mieli and Enrico Carraro, president of Confindustria Veneto and Campiello, replacing the traditional, but now impractical, public debate.
