(ANSA) - SAN PAOLO (BRAZIL), JUNE 1 - There are over 500,000 people infected by Covid-19 in Brazil, a number less than the United States. There are 514,849 contagions, 16,400 of those registered in the last 24 hours. There were 480 dead, which bring the total number of victims of the pandemic to 29,314, fourth after the USA, the United Kingdom and Italy. Latin America, in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic, has overcome the barrier of one million infected people in the last 24 hours, reaching 1,010,279 confirmed cases (+35,000), of which 51,216 died (+1,100). The situation is worrying in Peru, the second most infected nation in the region after Brazil with 164,476 cases (+8,800) and 4,506 deaths (+135). (HANDLE).
