Coronavirus in Argentina: 17 other deaths and 564 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours

The Nation's Ministry of Health reported 564 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and 17 other deaths, in the last 24 hours. 

In the morning report, the death of two men had been reported, one 86 years old, resident in the City of Buenos Aires and the other 69, from the province of Buenos Aires.

Of the total confirmed, 5.8% are imported, 43.4% by close contact of confirmed cases, 35.5% are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.

Of that total, 49% are women and 51% men. The main affected age groups correspond to people between 20 and 59 years old, the average age being 36 years.

Beyond the new numbers, the figures on the coronavirus in Argentina explain why even today, 90 days after the first contagion of COVID-19 in the country was known, the local pandemic is still contained .
