Just days after a new stage of the coronavirus quarantine issued by the national government expires, the positions begin to be defined and everything seems to indicate that, at least in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA), the restrictions will continue.

However, this Monday the Minister of Health of the province of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak, went further and assured that the AMBA should go back in phase and return "to the essentials."

"I think so. We are on the rise of the curve. When the cases begin to double, the curve must be flattened. Now is when we have to produce containment measures that reduce the number of cases. I think we have to stop, we have to go to the essential, to move the essential population and the rest to stay at home, in the territory of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, where there are many cases, "said the official when asked on El Destape Radio about whether You should return to phase one of the quarantine.

In addition, Kreplak assured that "in the rest of the country, it is necessary to have a great vigilance to see if it is not necessary to go back."

"It is an epidemic that one has to go forward and backward depending on what is happening. Today we are seeing every day how the doubling time shrinks, how the number of cases increases and how the health system is slowly saturating itself. If we do not take a measure that drastically reduces the number of cases, in weeks the health system will collapse, "the minister warned.

News in development.
