(ANSA) - OLBIA, JUNE 01 - At Olbia airport, the safety trays are sanitized with UV-C technology. This is the new measure adopted by Geasar - the "CostaSmeralda" management company - to protect passengers and operators.
Installation at the control gates will reduce the risk for passengers and operators of contamination by microorganisms and pathogens present in the containers. The system based on the radiation-killing power is an idea of the Sardinian company Sanycar, the first in the world to specialize in disinfection solutions for high-traffic areas: airports, commercial structures and hospitals. The use of ultraviolet rays takes place in total safety thanks to a stainless steel structure that prevents the escape of light emissions when the system is active and additional protections that prevent accidental access to the radiation chamber. Technology, already tested in the healthcare and industrial fields, has only recently arrived in airports.
"The safety of passengers and workers is among our goals - says Silvio Pippobello, managing director of the management company -. Our protocol goes beyond the indications of the authorities on safety and hygiene.
At the restart of flights we will have one more tool - he concludes' ad - to increase safety for the benefit of those who will come to Sardinia ".
For Gianni Delogu, founder and administrator of Sanycar, "this technology makes it possible to combine efficacy in killing action with maximum safety". From Sardinians and entrepreneurs "we are proud that our solutions find application even on the island they increase the safety levels for chiviaggia by plane and are in demand all over the world".
