Covid: 233,515 infected, 318 more than yesterday

(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 2 - Contagions for the coronavirus return to rise: a total of 233,515, with an increase compared to yesterday of 318 cases. Yesterday there was an increase of 178. The figure currently includes positive, equal victims. In Lombardy there are 187 more (yesterday 50), equal to 58.8% of today's increase. The data were disclosed by the civil protection. Eight regions communicate zero newly infected: Puglia, Trentino Alto Adige, Umbria, Sardinia, Valled'Aosta, Calabria, Molise and Basilicata. Today's victims are 55 (yesterday there were 60) the lowest number since March 2. The deaths thus came to 33,530. The healed and the discharged rise to 160,092, an increase of 1,737 compared to yesterday when it had been 848. The patients fall below 40 thousand and there are 39,893, 1,474 less than yesterday, when the drop had been 708. Intensive care patients are 408, 16 less than yesterday. On the other hand, 5,916 hospitalized consintoma, with a drop of 183 compared to yesterday, those in home isolation are 33,569, with a drop of 7798.
