Without definitions, that with some signs, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires is preparing for the extension of the pandemic that the National Executive will determine. And the conditions of this continuity will be given by what happens from Tuesday to Friday, particularly with the number of new cases of coronavirus.
According to the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, if infections remain stable, some low-risk activities could be enabled, always under the same restrictive traffic conditions.
"We have a curve that is evolutionary, but that in the last 5 or 6 days, the cases are more stable. We need to see the trend of the curve in these remaining days, and that will be very important to understand if we should sustain the situation as it is, or if we could enable very low risk activities, " Quirós said during the epidemiological report provided this Tuesday.
The minister stressed that, despite the sharp increase in daily infections that occurred a few days ago, "there is a slow rise curve" of the virus, and that will allow the situation to not be "as tough as in Europe."
"We need to understand from here to Thursday or Friday how cases evolve in the City. Activities that are of minimal sanitary impact could be allowed because, as I always say, we still have the mountain ahead," he warned.
