(ANSA) - CODOGNO, JUNE 2 - "From Codogno, where our path of suffering began, we want to reaffirm the values of the Constitution, remembering again our many fellow citizens who died for the coronavirus and renewing great solidarity with their families and their communities". The president Sergio Mattarella said this when speaking to Codogno. "It should not be forgotten how many doctors, nurses, staff involved in various health care roles, pharmacists have done with generous self-sacrifice in recent months," added the head of state.
"Far from avoiding their task, they bravely tackled the epidemic, often putting their health at risk. Many have fallen victim to their sense of duty.
There are not enough words to express how much gratitude merit from all Italians ".
