"In Mendoza we are already enjoying some activities that have been resumed, we are working on the situation with the national and provincial government," explained the mayor of Gran Mendoza, which has 1.2 million inhabitants.

The leader also referred to the commercial reopening, which in the city of Mendoza has already reached 80% and assured that they are already working on a plan forward, when tourism can be reopened in the province. 

So far, Mendoza has 94 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 42 are imported, 46 by close contact with someone who came from another country or tested positive for Covid-19, and 6 in epidemiological investigation. The province has 67 people recovered and 9 deaths from coronavirus.
