Due to the increase in cases of coronavirus in recent days, the national government, together with the City of Buenos Aires and the Province, reinforced circulation controls on public transport and in various municipalities of the Buenos Aires suburbs.
In this way, the Unique Enabling Certificate for Circulation (CUHC), which annulled the previous one and which began to govern this Saturday, was joined by rigorous controls at the train stations of the City of Buenos Aires and, especially, in the main accesses to the City.
Within this framework, the number of people apprehended for not having the new circulation permit increased significantly and, in turn, vehicle traffic intensified throughout the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA).
This Monday, the Digital Ring that controls income to the City registered a circulation of 121 thousand vehicles, that is, a decrease of 11% compared to Friday and 8% compared to Monday 18.
However, on the morning of this Tuesday, the Noria bridge, which connects the southwest limit of the capital with the Province of Buenos Aires, dawned with queues of up to 40 minutes from the Army of the Andes , which generated that many drivers They evaded the police controls, which were overwhelmed.
The same happened in the Pueyrredón Bridge, which connects Avellaneda with Barracas, where several drivers had to wait up to an hour to cross the checkpoint, while in the Alsina Bridge, which connects Lanús with Pompeii, a similar situation was experienced.
On the Teniente General Pablo Riccheri Highway, passing Provincial Route 4, known as the Camino de Cintura, congestions of more than 4 kilometers were recorded.
