Quarantine due to coronavirus: more economic activities are authorized in nine Buenos Aires municipalities

The national government enabled commercial and industrial activities in nine Buenos Aires municipalities , eight of them belonging to Greater Buenos Aires. This measure, which introduces relaxations to the quarantine due to coronavirus, was published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette.

The parties that received approval for activities excepted from compliance with social, preventive and compulsory isolation are: Almirante Brown, Avellaneda, Tigre, Berazategui, Cañuelas, Ezeiza, General Rodríguez, Pilar and Exaltación de la Cruz.

In Almirante Brown they were allowed home maintenance services: plumbers, Gasistas, electricians, gardening.

The Head of Cabinet also gave the go-ahead for commercial activities with withdrawal on the premises , a modality known as "to carry" or "take away".

It includes in the list gastronomic shops, paint shops, sale of electrical materials, wood / furniture, sale of openings, sale of ceramics, auto parts houses and nurseries.

The liberal professions (lawyers, accountants, auctioneers, managers, surveyors, scribes, architects), professions related to medicine and assistants (kinesiologists, speech therapists, podiatrists, nutritionists) and vehicle repair shops (lubricants, car washes, brakes, clutches, the like).

Shops were also enabled in Pilar : locksmiths; forage; bookstores and litter bins; orthopedics; diaper bags; sale and repair of cell phones; Sale and repair of computer inputs; and sales of automotive parts.

For its part, in Avellaneda , it will be able to reactivate the following industrial items: automotive and auto parts; electronics and appliances; dress; tobacco products; metallurgical, machinery and equipment; footwear; wood and furniture; toys; cement; textile products; leather articles; tires; bicycles and motorcycles; chemistry and petrochemistry; plastics and their products and ceramics.

In Tigre they were authorized: manufacture of footwear; pulp and paper manufacturing; cement manufacturing; ceramic manufacturing; clothing manufacturing; toy manufacturing; manufacture of leather manufactures; tire and graphic manufacturing, editions and printing.

In Berazategui deals with the following industries: cement; textile products; chemistry and petrochemistry; cellulose and paper; plastics and by-products; ceramic; and glass.

For Ezeiza , the following were enabled: automotive and auto parts; electronics and appliances; dress; tobacco products; metallurgy; machinery and equipment; footwear; graphics, editions and prints; wood and furniture; toys; cement; textile products; leather manufacturers; tires, bicycles and motorcycles; chemistry and petrochemistry; cellulose and paper; plastics and by-products; and ceramic.

The items enabled in Cañuelas are metallurgy, machinery and equipment; and chemical and petrochemical.

For  General Rodríguez,  the manufacture of paints and coatings was enabled.

Finally, Exaltación de la Cruz received approval for an extensive list of activities. The businesses reached by the measure are: car wash, blacksmiths and carpentry; bookstores; kiosks; sale of items for telephony, cell phones and computers; furniture stores (manufacture of wood and furniture); and kinesiologists.

And the industries are: aluminum and related; glass; painting; printers (printing industry, editions and printing); cement; bicycle and motorcycle manufacturing; paper pulp; plastics and by-products; and ceramic.

From now on, Axel Kicillof and the mayors will have to regulate the ratings, being able to restrict activities. In the case of Almirante Brown, the authorizations already have the approval of the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires.

As with each approval of activities in full quarantine, shifts should be implemented where possible and the provincial authorities will submit a weekly report to the national Ministry of Health, which - together with the Chief of Staff - may revoke the authorizations. .

The affected workers must manage the Unique Enabling Certificate for Circulation - Emergency Covid-19.
