(ANSA) - REGGIO CALABRIA, JUNE 3 - The Regional Council of Calabria unanimously approved the repeal of Law 5 of May 26, 2020 which gave the possibility, even to the councilors whose election had been canceled, to access voluntary contribution. The rule had sparked controversy and attacks on the regional council accused, by many parties, of having introduced forms of privilege. "Just as with the approval of regional law 5 of 26 May, the annuities had not been introduced - said the president of the Regional Councilor, Domenico Tallini - with the repeal of the same law that we are voting on today, we are not canceling them". The vote came at the end of a debate during which both the majority and the opposition representatives spoke of lightness and "poor quality of communication" between the group leader conference and the directors. During the interventions, many stigmatized the delays in the constitution of the permanent council commissions.
