Everyone goes shopping regularly and yet there are still surprises hidden in the aisles of supermarkets and Co., as a Twitterer has now discovered ...

  • Supermarket shelves are more or less well sorted.
  • For many, the spice rack is one of the more confusing places in the supermarket
  • There is a real surprise to be discovered there.

Visiting a supermarket was actually a challenge for many even before the corona crisis. Where can you find the products from the shopping list? Which watermelon is ripe *? Where is the yeast hiding *? And now all with a mask ...

You can often see confused faces on the spice rack. For some it is an enlightening moment to recognize that the spices on the shelf are sorted alphabetically . A Twitter user has now posted a video that could provide an even bigger eye-opening moment.

Hidden function on the spice rack amazes

You can see a spice rack in a REWE store where the man from Munich makes a surprising discovery: the shelves can be pulled out . But see for yourself:

Honestly. Who knows that you can pull out the shelves on the spice rack? WOW! pic.twitter.com/8gvD01vMS8

"Honestly, who knows that you can pull out the shelves on the spice rack? WOW!" He writes, apparently striking a nerve.

Also interesting: yeast sold out? So just do it yourself

Video from the spice rack causes a stir in the net

Over 200 comments from other Twitter users have now appeared under the video, it has been retweeted 360 times and marked with a like over 2,700 times (as of May 19, 2018). Many commentators want to test whether the trick works in their supermarket the next time they shop , others wonder what the whole thing could be good for . Probably to be able to fill the shelves better and not necessarily as a service for customers - which of course doesn't make it any less practical.

And still others make a joke of the current situation and whisper about a conspiracy : "This is the NWO (New Würz Order)!", Says one, "What else are they hiding from us up there ?!" another.

If you go to your supermarket now and it doesn't work for "your" spice rack, please don't do it like this Twitterer jokes:

I tried it out with us right away. It didn't work there. pic.twitter.com/7Ts1A0APwd

Another user's explanation could shed light on this: "There are two systems: the drawer as in the video and a spring system, which presses the removed can from behind."

Learned something again...
