(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 4 - Brazil recorded yesterday, for the second consecutive day, a record number of deaths caused by the coronavirus: the Ministry of Health has confirmed that in 24 hours the deaths were 1,349, a budget that brings the total to share 32.548. Also yesterday, reports the CNN, 28,633 new cases were detected, for a total of 584,016 infections.
The state of Rio also recorded a record number of deaths yesterday (324), a level that brings the total to 6.010, while cases have increased to 59.240 (+2.508).
Meanwhile, the government of São Paulo has estimated that in the state, coronavirus cases could double by the end of June at 190,000-265,000. Yesterday the state registered 5.188 new cases, for a total of 123.483 infections.
