In the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Friday another 24 deaths and 840 new cases of coronavirus in the country.

Earlier, in the morning report, the health portfolio had confirmed seven deaths: five women (three 42, 84 and 95 years old from the City of Buenos Aires, one 79 from the Province and another 48 from Chaco) and two males (69 and 75 years old, both from the Federal Capital).

According to official data, the mortality rate is 13.5 per million inhabitants and the case fatality rate - which measures deaths over the number of cases - is 3%.

Of the total cases, 49.3% are women and 50.7% correspond to men. In addition, 6,088 patients have already been discharged.

Disinfection work continues in Villa 1-11-14.

When giving the report, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, stressed that the people who make up the risk groups must continue to use their work licenses regardless of their place of residence.

In addition, the official drew a differentiating picture between the areas in which the national territory will be divided starting next Monday. "Most of the country is going to leave Preventive and Mandatory Social Isolation (ASPO) and is going to move to Social Distances Preventive and Mandatory (Dispo), "he said.

The division was announced on Friday by President Alberto Fernández and is based on the epidemiological difference observed in the country, where 85% of the territory does not have community transmission of coronavirus.

To access the Dispo phase, jurisdictions must demonstrate that they do not have this community transmission, have a health system with "availability to respond to demand" and "that the doubling time (of cases) exceeds 15 days "

Vizzotti recalled that "distancing" must be fulfilled in "the residence department" and that it is necessary to follow the protocols and care "very strictly": it must insist on keeping the 2-meter distance between people, wearing face masks, ventilate environments, clean surfaces, wash hands and continue respiratory hygiene.

The official called for "continuing to maintain care" and a vigilance that must be very sensitive to work with monitoring of "inter-jurisdictional traffic." She also said that the Federal Health Council will work on local educational plans.

In areas where ASPO is maintained, people should continue to leave their homes "only to carry out activities" deemed essential. In this sense, it was emphasized that people who have conditions of risk to their health, are in the area they are in, "must continue with the measures" of isolation and that "they continue with their work licenses" as at the beginning of the pandemic.
