(ANSA) - MILAN, JUNE 09 - The Antitrust states in a note that "no decision has been made" on the "compatibility" of the concentration between Intesa and Ubi Banca "with the competition rules". "At present," explains the authority, "only the communication of the preliminary findings was sent to the companies concerned, which represents the preliminary assessment of the Authority's offices in order to the possible competitive criticalities of the concentration operation".
"The final decision on the compatibility of the concentration will be taken by the Board only after the outcome of the dispute with the companies concerned". The date for the collegial hearing of the parties is set for next June 18, after which the proceeding will enter the decision phase. (HANDLE).
