According to reports at international airports, Japanese airline ANA has decided to draw eyes on the company's planes, with the aim of reducing bird injury by about 20% during flights. Injury during flights is a very common occurrence that causes many deaths of wing owners and few aircraft accidents, whether minor or serious accidents.
In the United States alone, there are about 13,000 airplane injuries per year. The numbers around the world are much higher. The decision of the Japanese airline, which is also considered one of the best airlines in the world, was made after a check was made and it was revealed that the eyes probably make the wingers notice the plane more clearly and stay away from it.
The ANA conducted an experiment during the past year during which the "eyes" aircraft were significantly less damaged than wing owners, thus saving nearly one million dollars a year in operating costs per aircraft.
Airports in the United States estimate that damages to birds cause $ 400 million in losses annually to airlines in the country. It also shows that about 200 people have been killed as a result of accidents caused by a bird since 1988.
