(ANSA) - CARACAS, JUNE 9 - The leader of the opposition who proclaimed himself interim president of Venezuela, JuanGuaidó, made an appeal to Venezuelans "to recover their stature", while taking into account the preventive measures of the coronavirus pandemic, to increase the pressure against the regime of President Nicolás Maduro.
"We have to go out on the road again - he underlined - respecting the social distancing. Is it paradoxical? Yes.
Difficult? Complex? Also. But today we have the responsibility to generate internal and external pressure".
During a meeting yesterday of the National Assembly (An) chaired by him, Guaidó addressed the deputies reminding them that "you have the historical responsibility to make Venezuela become an authentic Republic, a rule of law where justice is queen".
And not, he clarified, "the realm of the mafias that act simply to be able to keep in power one day more, without worrying about the people".
