Belgrade derby with the fans, 16 thousand in the stands

The public has returned to Serbia. Patrizan victory over the Red Star (ANSA)


The audience returned to the stadium in Serbia: over sixteen thousand spectators, in fact, attended the Belgrade derby Wednesday which saw Partizan and the Red Star in front, in a match valid for the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup. The match ended 1-0 for Partizan.

The presence of the fans was not in contrast with the rules in force in the country against the spread of coronavirus: the government, in fact, allowed the conduct of outdoor sporting events without public limits. The Serbian championship resumed on 29 May without an audience, then from June the authorities had said yes in the presence of a thousand fans, the restriction lifted a few days later.

Belgrade, however, was not the first case of a football match in Europe with open doors: in fact, by the end of May, in fact, in neighboring Hungary, the fans had returned to the stands for the championship games, while in Belarus there was no there has even never been any ban.
