In the last two weeks the number of swabs made by the Regions for Covid-19 has decreased considerably. The Gimbe Foundation reports this in its weekly monitoring. "Looking at the period from April 23 to June 10, we read in the report, the trend of total swabs has been decreasing consistently in the last 2 weeks (overall -12.6%). The trend of diagnostic swabs has fallen by 20.7% close to the reopenings on May 4, and then rise and fall again by 18.1% in view of the reopenings on June 3. In the last week there has been a slight increase (+ 4.6%) ".
In the period from 4 to 10 June, the Foundation writes again, 12 Regions and Autonomous Provinces show an absolute increase in diagnostic swabs, while in the remaining 9 there is a further reduction. In particular, Lombardy, Veneto and Campania each recorded a drop greater than two thousand buffers, while Emilia Romagna saw a leap forward of more than 5 thousand more, with Friuli, Molise and the province of Bolzano having had increases greater than two thousand units .
"The testing activity - says Nino Cartabellotta, president of the Foundation - aimed at identifying new cases, tracking contacts and isolating them continues to not be a priority for many Regions: unfortunately, in the management of this phase of the epidemic , in particular where the spread of the virus does not seem to give respite, the 3T strategy is not adequate ".
