Coronavirus: the infections are rising, 379 more than yesterday. The number of deaths drops (53 in one day)

Only in Lombardy 252 positives. Four regions with zero cases. In total 34,167 victims, today's figure (+53) the lowest since March 2. The number of ICU patients continues to decline (ANSA)


The daily data of coronavirus infections in Italy is rising again. The total number of infected people is 236,142, with an increase of 379 cases compared to yesterday, when there was a growth of 202. The figure currently includes positives, victims and recovered. In Lombardy, 252 new people were infected, equal to 66.4 percent of today's increase in Italy, while yesterday the increase had been 99 cases, equal to 49%. From the Civil Protection data it emerges that four regions - Sicily, Umbria, Valle d'Aosta and Molise - have no new cases.

There are 53 coronavirus victims in the last 24 hours in Italy, down from 71 yesterday. It is the lowest figure since March 2, when 52 were registered, and the same recorded on June 7 last year. In Lombardy on the last day 25 were registered, while yesterday there were 32. The total number of victims in Italy therefore rises to 34,167.

There are 30,637 coronavirus patients in Italy, 1,073 less than yesterday, when the drop had been 1,162.

There are 236 patients admitted to intensive care in Italy, 13 less than yesterday. There are 4,131 patients hospitalized with symptoms, with a drop of 189 compared to yesterday, while those in home isolation drop to 26,270, with a drop of 871 compared to yesterday.

Healed and discharged coronaviruses rose to 171,338 in Italy, an increase compared to yesterday of 1,399. On Wednesday the increase had been 1,293.

 There are 252 new positives in Lombardy, an increase compared to yesterday when they were 99. The total number of infected people is thus 90,932 cases. The swabs carried out are 13,376 for a swab-positive ratio of 1.9% (yesterday they were 9,305 for a ratio of 1.1%). The new deaths are 25 (yesterday 32), for a total of 16,374 deaths in the region. The number of ICU patients (97, -1) decreases very little, while non-ICU patients are still decreasing (2,488, -77). These are the data disclosed by the Lombardy Region.
