(ANSA) - MILAN, JUNE 11 - The Busto Arsizio Guardia di Finanza were seized last May, because they bore an improper CE marking and lacked the appropriate documentation to correctly certify the product as a medical device, the 285,000 surgical masks ready to be sold from a company in Samarate (Varese). The Prefect of Varese has signed the provision for the requisition of the masks, which will be destined for numerous entities operating on the territory including the Civil Protection and Municipalities of the province.
The company's legal representative had been reported for commercial fraud and the seized products had been made available to the judicial authorities.
