Morbidity data obtained from cities where ultra-Orthodox population concentrations removed the fear of another outbreak in them • However, the Ministry of Health recommends coordinating a preventive effort in Bnei Brak

The Corona National Information and Knowledge Center published this morning (Wednesday) report on morbidity data in cities where there are ultra-Orthodox population concentrations where the numbers do not indicate a new outbreak. At the same time, the number of patients in the last day has risen by 147 and now stands at 2,783 active patients. There were 12,932, a slight decrease from the number of tests conducted a day before it, then 13,524.

As mentioned, the report in question concentrated mainly on the morbidity data in ultra-Orthodox cities and reflected on their situation in recent months, as well as providing recommendations on how to prevent a new outbreak mainly in the city of Bnei Brak. During the outbreak of the Corona epidemic in Israel in March-April, the ultra-Orthodox population was a major focus of burst.

In light of the fact that ultra-Orthodox communities have shown high vulnerability to the spread of the epidemic in the past, and in light of the prevailing morbidity data in Bnei Brak in recent days, we have examined the morbidity data in cities where there is a significant Haredi population (Elad, Beitar Illit, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Modi'in Illit). May 18th.

An examination of the new hospital data shows that out of 9,260 tests performed in the ultra-Orthodox communities such as Elad, Beitar Illit, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak and Modi'in Illit, a total of 121 new patients were discovered, representing a positive rate of 1.3%.

As of June 1, there has been a relatively large increase in the number of patients in Bnei Brak when 46 new patients were identified in the city (third place in the country after Jerusalem and Tel Aviv), and the average positive rate is approximately 2%. In Beit Shemesh (14 patients) in Modi'in Illit (12 patients) in Beitar Illit (6 patients) and Elad (2 patients) the morbidity and the positive rate are low, although the number of tests per capita is relatively high, although not uniform.

Prior to the report, the steps that should be taken to prevent the outbreak of recommendations are to concentrate on preventive efforts in Bnei Brak, including advocacy, defense and remoteness, testing and enforcement, as well as to carry out stable tests to monitor morbidity in other cities where the concentration of ultra-Orthodox populations is low.
