Dream vacation abroad is moving away: Montenegro has announced that it excludes Israel from the list of countries from which tourists can go and relax in the country, due to the high rate of illness in Israel. Probably we will not be able to go to Montenegro soon, unless the number of patients in Israel soon decreases, with 25 patients out of every 100,000 citizens returning to the list - about 2,250 active patients in total.
Last week, Cyprus announced that it was lowering Israel to a B rating in the list of countries from which tourists could visit the neighboring island due to the worsening morbidity in Israel. This means that Israelis will be able to relax in Cyprus, but with negative results for Corona testing within the last 72 hours.
In Georgia, they announced that they were waiting for the Israeli tourist, but the reception of tourists was postponed from mid-June to the beginning of July and at the same time, Georgia has not yet decided whether to allow Israelis to enter without the need to present corona tests. Speaking to Georgia's ambassador to Shah Jabania, he explains, "We want to see the Israeli tourist and Georgia in excellent condition. We have not yet decided whether they will have to introduce corona testing and whether Georgia will bear the costs of treating someone who will be infected but answers will soon be received."
The European Union issued a recommendation over the weekend that borders between countries are expected to open. According to the recommendations, countries that are not in the EU and do not meet the requirements of the EU countries, their citizens are unlikely to be allowed to enter the EU countries. Of course, at this stage it is only a recommendation and each country has the right to act according to its concept.
Ilan Plus, head of the Economics Department at the Foreign Ministry, and who is in charge of aviation at the Ministry, said in a conversation with Israel today, "There are quite a few countries with whom we are in talks about opening borders. It all depends on the Ministry of Health's decision. We hope the morbidity situation in Israel will improve and in recent days "We are doing our best to open the borders and allow the tourism industry to recover, both incoming and outgoing."
