Los Angeles, Jun 15 (EFE News) .- The award ceremony for the Oscars will be held on April 25, 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, after the Board of Governors of the Hollywood Academy approved Monday to postpone two months the event.

The nominees in the categories will be announced on March 15, 2021 and the term to be a candidate will not end in 2020, since the closing of theaters and the delays of major releases have led to it being extended until February 28, the day in which The gala was originally going to be held.
Also, the opening of the new Hollywood Academy Museum in Los Angeles (USA) will not open until April 30 of next year.
