(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JUNE 15 - The United States says they are "outraged" at the condemnation of their fellow citizen Paul Whelan to Russia for 16 years' imprisonment for espionage and ask for his "immediate liberation". "The US is outraged by a Russian court decision today to condemn the American citizen PaulWhelan after a secret trial, with secret evidence and without appropriate concessions for defense witnesses," said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
