After a weekend marked by unprecedented violence, the Grésilles district of Dijon was once again the scene of scuffles on Monday evening. Coming to defend their neighborhood, hooded men armed with weapons of war have gathered in this sensitive neighborhood.
Burnt out garbage cans, burnt out cars, surveillance cameras targeted by gunfire… This violence comes after tensions between young Dijon residents and members of the Chechen community this weekend. Coming from all over France to lead a punitive expedition, the latter sowed chaos to avenge a 16-year-old young man who had been attacked a few days earlier.
Around 8:30 p.m., 60 mobile gendarmes, forty CRS and reinforcements from the anti-crime brigade (BAC), as well as from the RAID, intervened in order to put an end to the violence. Four people were arrested, according to the police headquarters.
