Brazil has exceeded one million coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, accompanied by almost 49,000 deaths, while the coronavirus pandemic for the moment continues to expand throughout Latin America, where the infected have risen to 1,945,206 (+ 73.234) and the dead at 90.701 (+1.878). This is what emerges from an ANSA statistical elaboration on the data of 34 Latin American countries and territories. After a period of contagion stability, Brazil started growing again, adding 54,771 in one day, for a total of 1,032,913. In line with the previous days, however, the death toll is 48,954 (+1,206). Peru (247.925 and 7.60) and Chile (231.393 and 4.093) are in second and third place, followed by a group of large and medium Latin American countries: Mexico (165.455 and 19.747), Ecuador (49.731 and 4.156), Colombia (63.276 and 2,045) and Argentina (39,570 and 979).
