From the first light of dawn, a blitz of the State Police is underway aimed at contrasting organized crime in the Province of Trapani and Caserta. The Trapani Flying Squad, under delegation from the Palermo District Anti-Mafia Directorate, is carrying out numerous searches and arrests of Matteo Messina Denaro's assistants.
Fifteen suspects in various capacities for mafia association, extortion, possession of weapons and aiding the hiding of the mafia boss. The home of Castelvetrano was also searched, the residence of the fugitive Messina Denaro. The Caserta Mobile Squad, with the coordination of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Naples, is carrying out numerous arrests against the members of the criminal association led by an ex Cutolian, current regent of the Casalesi clan in the Agro Teano. Among those arrested also the zone representative of the "Papa" clan federate.
