Coronavirus, deaths slightly increased, + 49 in 24 hours. On new cases too, +262

These are the new data of the Civil Protection. 152 intensive care, 9 less than Friday. There are 7 regions with zero increase. Over 3 million cases tested with swab (ANSA)


The daily increase in coronavirus victims in Italy is rising. They are 49 in the last 24 hours, more than 47 on Friday. In Lombardy on the last day 23 were registered, while on Friday they had been 18. The total number of victims in Italy therefore rises to 34,610. The data was made known by the Civil Protection.

238,275 people are infected with coronaviruses in Italy. The daily increase is 262 new infections (Friday was 251), 165 of which in Lombardy, equal to 63%. The Civil Protection figure currently includes positives, victims and healed. There are 7 regions with zero increase: Marche, Campania, Sicily, Trentino Alto Adige, Umbria, Molise and Basilicata.

Intensive care admissions for coronavirus patients are still falling: today 152 patients are hospitalized in the intensive care units, 9 less than on Friday. In Lombardy there are 54, 6 less than Friday. There are 2,474 patients hospitalized with symptoms, with a drop of 158 compared to Friday, while those in home isolation are 18,586, with a drop of 164 compared to Friday. The data was made known by the Civil Protection.

The number of healed and discharged coronaviruses in Italy rose to 182,453, with an increase compared to Friday of 546. Friday the increase had been 1,363.

There are 21,212 coronavirus patients in Italy, 331 less than on Friday, when the drop in the currently positive had been 1,558.

In Italy the 3 million cases tested with the coronavirus buffer have been exceeded. To date, in fact, 3,017,169, according to the data of the Civil Protection.

There are 165 new positives in Lombardy (1.8% ratio with swabs on Friday) for a total of 92,840 infected since the start of the pandemic. Intensive care hospitalizations (-6, 54 in total) and in other wards (-136, 1,401 in total) are decreasing. There are 23 deaths for a total of 16,557 deaths in the region.
