On Friday, Rodríguez Larreta and Kicillof analyzed the situation during a meeting they had in La Plata. Both warned that the possibility of tightening controls is not ruled out if the jump in infections continues.

After that summit, the provincial president admitted that "phase 1 is being studied (returned to)" because, he explained, the data on coronavirus cases in the province "have worsened."

"The more infections, the more people must use intensive therapy, and if this continues, the measures will have to be tightened," said Kicillof, after the meeting that also included the Health Minister of Buenos Aires, Daniel Gollán, and the Porteño, Fernán Quirós; in addition to the deputy head of the Buenos Aires government, Diego Santilli and the Buenos Aires Minister of Security, Sergio Berni.

Along the same lines, Rodríguez Larreta assured that the data of the last days at the AMBA "is very worrying" and warned that if the evolution of coronavirus cases continues to be high "there is no doubt that we are going to have to take more measures strict. "
