A new assessment, the day after the executive announcements formalizing the upcoming reopening of many places that can accommodate the public. This Saturday, Public Health France posted its data relating to the coronavirus in France. In the past 24 hours, 19 new patients have died from Covid-19 in French hospitals. The total number of deaths due to the virus, since the start of the epidemic in March, now reaches 29,633 victims, according to the latest figures sent by the organization.

These figures do not take into account the latest deaths in nursing homes and medico-social centers, which will be updated on June 23.

715 people in intensive care

To date, 9,837 patients are still treated in French hospitals. The number of patients suffering from a severe form of the disease continues to decline in intensive care units, where 715 of them remain hospitalized.

The balance of these patients, which takes account of discharges, has remained negative for many weeks.

In addition, since the start of the epidemic, Santé Publique France has identified three new outbreaks of contamination in France, among the 80 already counted. Finally, Mayotte and Guyana remain considered to be "in a situation of high vulnerability", reports Public Health France.
