France will reopen cinemas and stadiums from next Monday, June 22nd, but the audience for the games will only be admitted from July 11th, with a maximum of five thousand spectators at a time. The French government announced it overnight. This "maximum limit of 5,000 people for major events, stadiums and showrooms" will in principle remain until 1 September. But "a new review of the national epidemiological situation will be carried out in mid-July to decide whether further opening will be possible for the second half of August". The new measures were decided during a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council held under the leadership of President Emmanuel Macron.
During the meeting, Health Minister Olivier Véran noted that the indicators for monitoring the epidemic "generally remain on a positive trend, but that however, vigilance remains high.
