The German Football League fined Union Berlin after viewing the images, dating back to last Tuesday, of spontaneous celebrations between players and fans in the stadium parking lot, to celebrate their stay in the Bundesliga. The videos show the hugs between players and fans, a behavior that violates the rigorous health protocol that has governed the Bundesliga since the shooting in mid-May. Two players identified in the videos were also fined, the League announced. They have been put into solitary confinement by the club and will only be able to join the group after both passing two tests for Covid-19. The fines have not been made public. Thanks to the 1-0 victory over Paderborn, the Union made sure to remain in the first division, in which it participated for the first time in its history. (HANDLE).
