Coronavirus in Argentina: eight new deaths confirmed and there are already 1,000 fatalities in the country

The national Ministry of Health confirmed this Sunday eight new deaths from coronavirus with respect to the latest report, with which the country reached the barrier of 1,000 fatalities since the start of the pandemic.

According to Alejandro Costa, undersecretary of Health Strategies , the case fatality rate is 2.4% , while 21.9 deaths per million inhabitants are counted. Meanwhile, the average age of the fatal victims is 74 years.

In total, since the first case, 41,204 infected people have been confirmed, of whom 12,728 have already been discharged. In addition, 381 people are hospitalized in intensive care.
