The journey to the Mediterranean of Codamozza does not stop, the whale without tail.
Today it was spotted off Finale, in the Savonese area. This was announced by the Tethys cetacean research institute. Just a week ago the giant animal was off Catania.
According to Tethys, the whale lost its tail in the clash with a propeller of a ship between August and September last year in the northern Tyrrhenian Sea. The whale (whose sex is unknown) despite the mutilation in the last year has traveled all over the Mediterranean, from Spain to Syria and then to Italy. It is very thin, probably because it cannot dive to reach the plankton banks it feeds on.
