In the Dynamo Dream trailer , a series created by audiovisual effects artist Ian Hubert, a giant futuristic city appears where pollution and metal are the protagonists. Seeing it, we might think that it has been recorded in a gigantic studio. However, it is shot in a garage: more specifically, and as explained by the creator on his own Twitter account, in one that is about seven meters wide by eleven long. A Spanish tweeter uploaded a video on June 18 showing what the set was like before the special effects: the cut has more than 19 million views.

In the upper part of the video you can see the shooting of the filming, carried out in a garage with various chroma, and in the lower part how the final version looks. While in the final version the protagonist leaves a house and when she has to cross a bus, in reality there is only the actress walking with a green canvas behind. The video corresponds to the Dynamo Dream trailer , still without a release date, and which is thespin-off from Dynamo , another series from eight years ago. Ian Hubert is seeking funding for the project through crowdfunding .

In 2012, Hubert created a fiction called Dynamo , which can be seen on his YouTube channel with Spanish subtitles. This series also shares the futuristic aesthetic of its spin-off and part of the techniques that have been developed in this new installment. In it, and as you can see in the "behind the scenes" of his episode number six, also a small room with a green chroma served the technician to develop all his creativity. While in reality one of the actresses came down a ladder, Hubert made use of the special effects to turn it into the exit of a spaceship. But it was not only recorded with chroma, the creator also superimposed her creations on exterior planes. Hubert had previously worked supervising special effects in major productions, such as the science fiction film Prospect .

The video that has become popular now is an excerpt that Hubert himself uploaded to his YouTube channel in May. As explained in the description, the result has been obtained using the Blender program to animate a green chroma. This program is dedicated to lighting, rendering, animating, and creating 3D graphics.

On his YouTube account, in addition to the full Dynamo Dream teaser , you can find a multitude of tutorials in which he explains how to create these scenarios from scratch. "How to make cities" or "How to make neon signs" are just some of these Lazy Tutorials .
