As the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area prepares to enter a new phase of hard quarantine, the government seeks to restrict, discourage and raise awareness with stricter controls to ensure compliance with the rigid isolation that will begin this Wednesday .

On the other hand, there was a discouraging figure for April, the first full month of social isolation, preventive and compulsory, and the one that also had the greatest economic impact: there was a 26.4% drop compared to a year ago, a historical record for the country in one month , according to Indec figures.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Ginés González García, admitted that it is not known until when the measures will be extended. "We have to be well guarded until 17. Any prediction is very difficult, the truth is that we do not know," the official said when asked on CNN Radio about whether the quarantine could be extended until August .
