In 2019, 399,006 tons of steel packaging were recycled, with an increase of 3.1% compared to 2018: jars and cans, spray cans, crown caps and capsules, milk, drums, steel drums were recovered thanks to the correct collection differentiated by citizens and can be recycled indefinitely. The data also recorded in 2019 a 4.7% increase in packaging collected compared to 2018, for a total of 480,921 tons. The data of the National Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Aluminum Packaging (Cial) was also encouraging, for which 51,400 tons of aluminum packaging were recycled in 2019, equal to 70% of the total 73,400 tons placed on the market.
