Approximately 100 pilots still working mainly on cargo lines announced that they would not report for flights • Associates chairman of the new pilot committee: "He pulls the company apart"
All El Al airline operations are delayed from now on (due to the decision by the airline pilots not to report for flights).
The decision comes three days after the chairman of the company pilots changed. Nir Reuveni, the new chairman, is apparently behind the move, and his associates say he "pulls the company to a place of dissolution".

Most of El Al's activities at present are cargo flights and single passenger flights. Just over a hundred pilots work, and everyone else is in the USSR. If a hundred of these pilots do not show up for flights, many of the company are expected to spend many of them on the USSR and adapt the pilots' scale to the scope of operations, if any.

In recent months, the pilots have been assigned to each flight separately, in contrast to periods during which there is an orderly system. Now the pilots are not responding to requests to staff the flights, thus effectively freezing all the company's operations.
Al announced that as of now, the company's regular operations suspended until the end of July as well as all employees who leave without pay. In view of the worrying development of disease situation in Israel, it is very possible that this decision will be extended.
El Al has not yet formulated an outline to save the company with the banks. Company Hoping to get $ 400 million needed to keep the activity going, as of now, contacts are underway with the Treasury and Banks and the issue is still not close to being resolved.
