Agnes Buzyn defended herself, for four hours Tuesday at the National Assembly, to have lacked "anticipation" and "reactivity" to prepare France for the coronavirus crisis.
"You can not say that we were not reactive," hammered the former Minister of Health before the commission of inquiry charged with evaluating the management of the epidemic.
"Anticipation" of the coronavirus epidemic has been "out of all proportion with other European countries" and "always ahead" of alerts from international organizations, she said, citing decisions taken before even the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a public health emergency of international concern on January 30.
