(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, JULY 3 - The municipal authorities of Belgrade today proclaimed the 'emergency situation' in the Serbian capital, the main hotbed of the new wave of coronavirus contagions.
In order to limit the spread of the virus, the opening hours of night clubs, bars, cafés and restaurants will be limited, which must be closed from 23 to six in the morning. Meetings and gatherings will be allowed for a maximum of 100 people indoors, with mask and physical distance of 1.5 meters, and 500 outdoors. And it will be mandatory to wear the mask on public transport and in all alchiusoi places.
In Serbia, after a period of progressive decrease in infections and the almost complete easing of restrictions, coronavirus cases have been recovering strongly for several days.
Before Belgrade, the 'emergency situation' had been imposed in other major city outbreaks such as Novi Pazar, Vranje, Kragujevac, Tutin. President Aleksandar Vucic, speaking on public television RTS yesterday evening, had anticipated the new restrictive measures in Belgrade, underlining that over 82% of the infections of the entire country are recorded in the capital.
The latest data released yesterday spoke of 359 infections and serum deaths in Serbia within 24 hours. (ANSAmed) (ANSA).
