Covid-19, over 530 thousand deaths worldwide

- ROME, JUL 05 - There are over 530,000 deaths per virus in the world. The pandemic, according to an AFP count, has resulted in 530,865 deaths so far. Among the countries where the greatest increase in infections has been registered today, India and Morocco. The situation is worrying in New Delhi, where a facility for the treatment of patients with coronavirus as large as 20 football fields has just been inaugurated. The country has recorded just under 25,000 cases and 613 deaths in one day, the highest daily peak since the beginning of the pandemic, in late January, approaching the numbers of Russia, currently in third place after the United States and Brazil. Indian authorities fear that the metropolis will register more than half a million cases by the end of the month. Record numbers also in Morocco, which today announces 698 new cases, the highest number ever recorded in a single day since the beginning of March.
   The peak appears to be linked to a new outbreak in a canned fish factory in Safi, in the south of the country, 130 kilometers north of Essaouira. The entire city with its 300 thousand inhabitants has been quarantined.
