"I am not a connoisseur but something was wrong. So I called an expert internist of Medicine. He looked at the plate and said 'this is Sars-cov for me.' Then the patient went to the ward." (HANDLE)

(ANSA) - MILAN, JULY 5 - "I am not a connoisseur but something was wrong. So I called a medical internist, an expert. He looked at the plate and said 'this for me is Sars-cov'. Then the patient went to Department". The story, published on the Bergamo pages of the Corriere della Sera, comes from a doctor who worked at the hospital in Alzano (he left) and who explains that, according to him, the first coronavirus death ascertained in the area, Franco Orlandi, from Nembro, already "on 15 February", 5 days before the Codogno case (Lodi), was a Covid suspect.
"The first patient from Nembro who later died took him into the emergency room of Alzano," says Nadeem Abu Siam, a doctor of Palestinian origin (he resigned, he explains, because he was not given the opportunity to go to visit his sick mother in Palestine) . On February 15 he says he "called Radiology" and made Orlandi do "a plate". And an internist would have said, "This is Sars-cov for me." Orlandi died on February 25th.
